Lazada Philippines: Reliability is the Name of the Game

I have come to associate Lazada Philippines with reliability. And it is quite a feat for an online store to be known for its reliable nature simply because there is just too much risk involved when buying stuff online. I remember being a recipient far too many times of low-quality products that did not quite match its product images online and my expectations. It isn’t really fair but most of the online stores I know of do not have a return policy in place or would only accept replacements if product is damaged or something to that effect. Definitely a bummer and the best you can do if it happens to you is to just roll with the punches unless the item in question is really expensive or you paid for something that was never delivered. Then there are also delivery and payment security issues that need to be addressed.

Point of No Return

At this point, you might be wondering what made the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall earn my trust. There are quite a lot, really. Let’s start with the company that made it possible for us to have this kind of online store locally. This site is owned by Rocket Internet of Germany. They have been in the business since 1999 setting up tons of online ventures across the globe with the aim of focusing on setting up their businesses in emerging markets as opposed to fighting head on with the giants like amazon.com and eBay. Their tactics have been proven to be very successful as they have launched a Southeast Asian invasion with Lazada being also present in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Flexible Payment Options

Another thing is their ingenious payment schemes that manage to get them a bigger share of the market. They provide a very secure means of paying via credit card and offer online bank deposit, over-the-counter payments and Cash On Delivery (COD). With COD and the other two payment methods, they have managed to tap a good number of local consumers who don’t own credit cards or are simply skeptical of using credit cards to pay for online purchases. As we are all aware, more customers mean better business. It is a win-win situation for both the company and the consumers.

Trustworthy Partners

I also feel secure with the fact that they have partnered with two trusted courier firms – LBC and 2GO. Both are big names in the industry and have a long history of high-level quality of service. With these two firms, my fears of not receiving my goods on time and in perfect condition are erased.  The ordering process may have been smooth but the whole experience can turn into a negative one if the items you paid for don’t arrive within the timeframe given or worse, they don’t arrive at all. I guess that is what happens when you partner with the best. It is not enough that you have the best people running the business; you also have to team up with the best third party vendors and contacts to assure smooth and successful operations.
