Ecommerce
have been struggling for so long in the country. Most of us have issues mainly
on trusting our money in online payments. This was the main problem for a lot
of business investors in the country. Just how are they going to penetrate the
local market in online. Things weren’t going well in this industry for the past
few years. But after Lazada was launched in the Philippines, other online
competitors showed up and online shopping started to emerge in the local online
market. The Ecommerce industry was not growing if you go back a few years from
their launch. Online shopping was just not a popular option for most local
online users in the past. For local consumers who want to buy second hand
items, they usually visit local online classified ads. Traditional mall are
usually the go-to source of customers who wants to buy brand new items. It's no
surprise to anyone since traditional offline malls are usually the place we go
to when we want to buy something growing up. However, most of us fail to
realize that we can actually save time and money in online shopping.
So
what can we get from online shopping? As for online shopping, local online
consumers can do it wherever they go. Money spent on travel expense will now be
deducted since customers won't need to travel to the location of traditional
malls. It was of the challenge that they try to solve when they arrived in the
country. They were also facing an issue on how they can also tap the untapped
market in online. Credit cardholders in the country are quite few, which makes
it almost impossible for some customers to pay online. Having a culture that
doesn’t trust online transactions also has contributions to it. It's no secret
that we know the existence of online scams and frauds. The industry of
Ecommerce in the country is now on the verge of rising as an online industry.
It's
actually amazing to see that Lazada is making an impact on Ecommerce and is
rapidly reaching success with their year of tenure, which is a remarkable feat
for them. To prove that the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall is a legit online
mall in the country, they were seen on TVC on top local channels at primetime.
How did the Ecommerce limitation was solved by them? A newly then alternative
payment method called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. was introduced to their online
customers. This is very unconventional payment method that is presented by any
online mall. From an online business owner's point, it is very risky on their
part. This particular payment method doesn’t require online customers to pay
right away. They only require customers to pay as their orders are handed over
to them. Customers can hold unto their money up until their orders arrived at
their address. This is to ensure that scams and frauds won't happen if they
want to deal with them.
