Lazada Philippines: Taking Ecommerce to the next level

For business owners, it's a challenge for them to actually crack the on the Ecommerce industry of South East Asia back in the early days. It is expected since most of the population in South East Asia at that time was really low. Majority of them are not even credit card owners. To make it worse, online transactions are only considered by a few credit card owners. It's not a surprise in South East Asia since almost everyone is aware of frauds and scams that happen in online businesses. It's actually more credible to deal with offline businesses rather than online businesses Given that we get to deal face to face in offline business, we feel more secured than online business deals.

However, we sometimes fail to realize that we are missing out on legit online businesses, which offers better. Usually, online malls offer better discounts and pricing since they don’t pay for their store rent like how offline malls do. It makes online malls are more enticing option since the can regularly offer discounts and promos. Obviously, this is the only way for online stores to convert customers to try online shopping instead. Lazada, which is launched across South East Asia, is one of those ventures In the country, they are only one of the few online stores to offer massive selections similar to a mall. They first introduced Cash on Delivery or simple called C.O.D. In my own opinion, it helped them reach new heights and eventually reached the success that they are getting up to this point. They were already oozing with success by the time they reached their first anniversary in the Philippines. Actually, competitors only came out from nowhere after they arrived in the country last year. It's obvious that businessmen were awakening about the potential of Ecommerce upon their arrival in the country. It's only a matter of time on how online shopping will further thrive. They won the favor of the local customers through their unconventional approach as an online store in the country. Since they can avail Cash on Delivery, cash can be used a way payment by customers who can't pay online the conventional way. It expanded the numbers of customers since most Filipinos can only pay via cash.

Not only that, but they also free delivery availability as long as the transaction value exceeds one thousand pesos. Once the one thousand-mark transaction value is met, Lazada will waive the shipment fee. Combining C.O.D. or Cash on Delivery with Free Delivery availability makes it easier to convince any customers to try online shopping over traditional offline shopping. Since the upper hand is on the customers rather than the online store, which is the conventional setup in online, it is easier for any customer to take a chance in online shopping. Given that they won’t be required to pay right away. They get to keep their money up until they get what they bought. This is a great security blanket for them or to anyone when it comes to online shopping.
