Making a website easier to navigate, makes it easier to convert online visitors to customers

When I was still young and just beginning to understand how the Internet works, I never thought online shopping would make some noise in our digital era. People were only using Internet during these times to get information or news on a global or local level, which is amazing at that time already. Websites were just plain during this period and not too fancy. When you see a website before, you'll only see text mostly on their content. Most of the online users today would surely be disappointed with the website we had in the past. When Internet finally went to a phase were it is evolving, so did the websites functionalities and design. For the longest tenure, online shopping existed globally, which is very surprising to arrive here in the country last year since we already thought it would never come. Upon online shopping's arrival, the local online community did not highly regarded it.

The local Ecommerce was struggling a lot in the Philippine online market. The scene in online only changed when website Lazada arrived in the country. Funny is that not everyone knew what they are really about. Mostly, their company name does not even translate that they are online mall. Since they were entering a dead Ecommerce market, most of the skeptics thought that they would flop. They did know what they were facing that is why they offered their customers the option to pay Cash on Delivery or simply called C.O.D. It made it possible for the local online customers to go directly to their website and not worry about a thing. Conventional online payments won't be a strict requirement since they can also now pay in cash.

All they have to do is just connect to the Internet and visit their online mall website. When they are on the website, they can pretty much select whatever they want and have it shipped on their address. This allows customers not to pay upfront like how it is online shopping the conventional way. Usually, customers are required to pay first when they shop online. This setup with Lazada is not a requirement if they actually opt for Cash on Delivery. This allows customers to hold their money up until their orders are actually handed over to them in real time. This option eventually killed the local Ecommerce woes that plagued us in the past.

The Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall’s credibility doesn't even matter with this kind of setup to customers. I'm pretty sure anyone given this option not to pay right away will be relaxed. It is certainly easy for anyone to become its customer. In case their orders don't push through, they can easily be at ease that they can shop another mall. This only proves that this online mall has the disadvantage with this kind of setup with their customers. It clearly states that they are serious with what they offer. They are more than an online store that only aims to earn money. The intention they want is to make a statement about how online shopping can make it easier for their customers.
