Making shopping a click away

Online shopping had made huge strides in this modern digital era and looking back when Internet just started - nobody expected it that it will hit this big in the online community. Internet usage allowed online users to get information in a hurry even if it is a local or global resource of information. Websites were still dinosaur at that time where it was just plain and basic compared to the website of this era. The website's content is mostly purely text-based during the early days. Presentation of websites then will surely not satisfy the demands of the online users today. As Internet started to evolved from its basic purpose, so did the website experience of online users. It is quite amazing to see that online shopping arrived in the country last year despite it being available already to most countries in the past. When online shopping arrived in the country, the local online users didn't find it enticing. The local Ecommerce industry was having a hard time on penetrating the local online consumers.

The online scenery changed after websites like Lazada came into the picture. Not everyone knew that it was an online mall when they arrived. They are not even considered an online mall since their name is foreign. A lot of the critics did not see them to succeed since the Ecommerce was stagnant or flat upon their arrival. Since the Ecommerce woes were present at the time of their arrival, they came up with a solution called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. alternative payment method. With this alternative payment method, everyone can shop on their website directly. They can easily avail their service even if they don't have their own credit card or PayPal and just pay in cash instead. All they have to do is connect online and visit their online store website. If they are on the online mall website, they can just pick which item they want to buy and have it shipped on their delivery address. This alternative payment method does not require customers to pay upfront like how it is done conventionally when it comes to online.

Conventionally, online stores require their customers to pay first before their orders are finalized. This particular online mall does allow their customers not to pay upfront during the processing of their orders. They can keep their money until their order package arrives. Problems we encountered before in the past were wiped out with this option. It won't matter to customers if they have no credibility yet with this option. Customers who are not required to pay right away when they deal online will certainly have confidence. Anyone can shop on their website whether they can pay in cash or other online payments. Assuming that their orders don't arrive, they still can shop on other online or traditional malls. We can safely say that the disadvantage of this kind of setup is leaning more towards Lazada. This is the only way they can show that customers can trust them. From their side, it's more than just selling their items to customers. They are on a mission as well to change the online shopping environment in the country.
