Online shopping – flexible option to anyone!

Living in this modern digital era, most of the things that took a lot of time to do in the past can now be done in just seconds. One example is conducting a research. Before, we need to go to libraries and read the encyclopedia just to get a gist of information that we are looking for. Now, it is as easy as just using a computer with Internet and search for it online. Internet obviously changed our lives. Even shopping nowadays is much easier since we can go for either offline or online shopping. The local consumers get an upper hand since time of availability won't matter anyone. To them, night time for them is their day time to us. These are the customers who work during at night and are asleep all day. This doesn't allow them to have a normal lifestyle like visiting the malls on a regular mall hours. This makes it hard for them to visit traditional offline malls. Traditional malls are only available during weekends or holidays. This is clearly harder for people who work on different time schedule. Good news for them - online shopping is now an available option for them.

A lot of established offline businesses are now shifting to online. It only started in the country last year in the Philippines. By the time Lazada had arrived in the country, their competitors showed up from nowhere. The Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall is one of the first online malls in the country to serve our local online users. They were also launched in other South East Asia countries. Ecommerce reached popularity in the country when they came in, as compared to the previous years which are prior to their arrival. Their impact on local online market is undeniable. The local online scene has no competition so it only made sense to launch it in the country. Their challenge is how they will lure Internet users to visit their online mall.  One of the factors why online users were hard to lure is because they are not familiar with online payment. It's just really hard to trust online since credit card details might be compromised if used online.

Moreover, credit cards are not widely used in the country since a only a fraction of the population possess it. It slowed down the Ecommerce growth in the country. It doesn't mean that the local Internet users are unaware of online transactions. We don't give Ecommerce websites enough chance since we are close minded and think only of the risk. Most of the time, we just ignore online malls probably because we are new to it. We initially treat it as a scam in online. It is what makes Ecommerce very hard to penetrate for online businesses. Lazada came out with something to solve these Ecommerce woes that plagued the country for so long. They came up with an alternative payment method they called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. Payment with them is not required to be right away and customers can keep it up until they receive their orders.
