Lazada Philippines: Transitioning our lifestyle in Ecommerce

Shopping has always been part of our life whether it may be shopping for luxury or necessity. We have been accustomed to shopping in traditional malls growing up. This was the thing for our parent whenever they want to address their shopping needs. Naturally, it is transferred to us as well. However, we are the generation that went through the modern digital era transition. For us, we realize what we can do before from now like shopping online. It's actually overwhelming to see that online shopping is now starting to become popular in the Philippines. A lot of us never envision online shopping as an accepted option dating a couple of years back. Most of the frauds and scams happen online beside offline in the Philippines. It made online transaction unsafe to many of the local online users. It was usually local classified ads that were close to an online store, which is actually a buy and sell industry. This helped the Ecommerce industry prepared the local online users for online malls. The presence of online marketplace grew since their arrival in the country. When people want to buy something online, they didn't have option yet when local online classifieds didn't exist yet. It was to check the industry price value of items that users want to buy. This helped Internet become more diverse for customers. More online users go to these type of websites in search for buy and sell prospects.

Ecommerce was far different from this since its third party resellers who earns or benefits from it. Final deal happens during offline most of the time. Local online users made an impact to local online users. They showed the way for the Ecommerce websites in the country. The local online users were already prepared with online payment but the time Ecommerce websites arrived in the Philippines. The risk in online shopping is way lower than what they could be getting. Group buy websites showcased great deals that can't be found from others. A lot of deals are being offered way lower than it is supposed to by group buy websites, making it harder for customers to ignore.

Last year, Lazada Philippines arrived in the country. They are an online mall venture available in South East Asia. It is backed by the Samwer brothers who own Rocket Internet. Lazada made an impact in Ecommerce through their various payment methods. With so many payment methods available, this allowed online customers to be in control. Credit cards and PayPal are usually the online payment method accepted by most online stores. It actually affects the customers in availing what they want since they can't pay online the conventional way. They first introduced Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. to their customers.  This allowed them to tap the untapped markets which are the non-credit cardholders or PayPal account users. This is actually the majority market or audience in the country. Now that the entire market is open in online, it definitely helped Ecommerce thrive in the country.
