Lazada Philippines: Making a run in online shopping

The local Ecommerce industry in the country is starting to make its mark to the hearts of the Filipinos. More local online users are now open-minded in trying shopping online nowadays. Ever since Lazada came into the picture, other local online businesses were put to live as online shopping started to roll upwards. The industry of Ecommerce in the Philippines was quite low before they arrived in the country. Local online users initially looked down upon online shopping as an alternative option for addressing their shopping needs. When local online users want to buy something, they prefer cheaper second hand items on local classified websites. A customer would typically go to traditional offline malls when they want to buy something that is new. It's pretty normal to see since most of us grew up visiting traditional offline malls when we need something. Thinking of online shopping, we can actually save more time and energy if we choose it over traditional shopping. So how online shopping can help consumers?  Online shopping can be conducted wherever the customer pleases.

No more extra spending on travel costing since customers will no longer need to go traditional malls. This is one of the customer woes that the online malls wanted to solve for the local online consumers. They are also facing an issue on how they can tap the untapped local online market in the country. The online market in the country was hard to penetrate since majority of the population can't pay online due to most of them not have their own credit card. It can't be helped that most of us questions the reliability of online transactions. Moreover, online frauds and scams are pretty known in online by the local online community. In the Philippines, online shopping is actually an industry that is on the verge to rise. It is almost over a year now that Lazada started its operation in the country yet they already achieved so much becoming one of the leading online malls in the country.

In order for them to make a big statement that they can be trusted as a legit business, they even had a TVC that run on top local channels during primetime. They formulated a solution in order to break the Ecommerce silence in the country. The Philippines' Online Shopping Mall offered Cash on Delivery or more known as C.O.D. as an alternative payment method. This payment method is very unconventional to be offered in online. It's actually a very risky payment method that not all online stores are willing to gamble. Online customers can pay later after they receive their orders with this alternative payment method. Customers will only need to pay in cash once their orders arrive at their doorstep. Scams won’t likely to occur since customers will get to keep their money up until they can see their orders delivered in real time. The goal of the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall is to make sure that their customers can trust them with this payment method.
