How Ecommerce is serving the local online users

As an average Internet user, most of us pretty much knows how online shopping works and how it can make our shopping need addressed quickly and easily. A lot of online malls have started to establish themselves in the country as early as a couple of years ago. Now, there are a lot of online malls available for the local online users. There's no doubting that online shopping is a rising industry in the Philippines. Two years ago, online shopping was in a different place, a place where people don't consider them at all. Most of us are aware that we have a high frauds and scams in the country for both online and offline. It made online transaction unsafe to many of the local online users.

When Ecommerce websites arrived in the country, they were already prepared for online deals already. One of the factors why local online users considered this is that the reward over throws the risk. Through group buy websites, local online users had a taste of great deals that is rarely found nowadays. Prices offered by them were at rock bottom that it is too hard to pass on. Last year, Lazada Philippines arrived in the country. It is an "Amazon" type of venture present across South East Asia. It is under the German based company Rocket Internet, which is owned by the Samwer brothers.

They made significant impact in the local Ecommerce industry with their offering of unconventional offline payment methods. These allow customers to be in control since they get to choose from a lot of payment methods. It is usually credit card or PayPal that is allowed to be used for paying online by online malls. These conventional online payments are usually the reason customers don't push through with their orders since they don't any of it. They introduced to the local online users about their alternative payment method called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. As a result, this allowed them to tap the markets that are still wary of online shopping. As a matter of fact, it is the majority of the local market in the Philippines. Ecommerce is now rising with this recently tapped market included in the customer mix.
